F*** Stairs

Most people walk around campus without even the slightest idea that the spaces around them are exclusionary and inaccessible. The University of Washington (Seattle) campus has stairs all over, so in an effort to get students aware of accessibility barriers, the F*** Stairs campaign was created in 2018.

In this now-annual campaign, we ask people without mobility-related disabilities to take a pledge to NOT take outdoor stairs for two weeks. They must find only accessible pathways instead.

In the past 2 years, we've had over 200 pledges. In following years, we hope to expand to other college campuses.
